Emma lives in Gloucester with her big, friendly dog, Rocko. She fell in love with yoga when she first started taking classes at Empower in 2009. Initally, she was drawn to hot power yoga for the physical challenge and the prospect of practicing poses reminiscent of the gymnastics she loved so much growing up. However, the mental clarity and emotional wellbeing she felt at the end of each class drew her back to her mat and inspired her to become a yoga teacher. In 2015, Emma completed the 200-hour teacher training at Empower yoga with Tricia Philpott. She then studied yoga alignment and assists under the guidance of Jeanne Magazu. Emma hopes to bring love, lightness, and joy to her classes with a powerful, energizing and challenging flow. Outside of yoga, Emma loves spending time on the beach-sunbathing and swimming during the summer and walking with her dog during the winter- running in the woods, and working with children.
