Amy WIeman
Amy was reluctant to try yoga at first, thinking it was just a bunch of stretching. She thought she’d benefit more from a run, bike, or swim. But after her first class, Amy was hooked. The practice provided the continuously evolving physical and mental challenge Amy was seeking, while also offering something that other workouts didn’t. Yoga opened her eyes to a whole new world of physical, spiritual, and mental well-being, for which, she is forever grateful. She reflects: “The challenges we face on our yoga mat help us navigate the obstacles we face in the outside world. Yoga has taught me patience, humility, resilience, and strength; and I always find solace on my mat.” With a desire to help others realize the mind-body benefits of Yoga, Amy completed her 200YA RYT with Tricia Philpott. What inspires Amy most about yoga is the complete transformation that occurs in every practice, just by being present, and in breath. “Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter the flame.” -B.K.S. Iyengar When not on the mat, you could find Amy on the beach, running, walking in the woods, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
